Data Collection and Usage

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to assist with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to verify usage. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles and pages on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, images, and articles). Embedded content behaves in the same way as if you were visiting the originating website.

These external sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and embed third-party tracking. They may monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your activity if you are logged into their website. As part of our courses, Fincate uses embedded YouTube videos. YouTube’s privacy policy is available here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Retention
If you leave a comment, the comment and its associated metadata are retained indefinitely. This ensures that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.

For users that register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Website administrators have access to view and edit user information.

Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data. This does not include any data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
